Practiced Ophthalmology with his Father
in Lincoln, NE while awaiting military induction. After his military
career, entered practice with Arthur G. Starr, M.D. in General
Ophthalmology in 1962. Remained in this practice until his retirement
in 1996. |

Entered the United States Air Force
Medical Corps as a Captain. Stationed at USAF Hospital, Andrews
AFB, Morningside, Maryland, where he served as the Chairman of
the Department of Ophthalmology. Served as USAF Consultant in
Ophthalmology to the Surgeon General of the United States. Attained
the rank of Major in the USAF and was honorably discharged in
1962. Made Lt. Colonel in the USAF inactive reserves in 1972.
