Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1893,
he was the middle son of five children. Both of his parents attended
the University of Michigan. From the age of nine, his consuming
ambition was to become a doctor. He married Edna Elease Fee and
together they had four children, two boys and two girls. |
