Contact Lenses
At the Denver Eye Clinic, we are especially proud of our contact lens department. Nancy Barr, COA, NCLC specializes in all aspects of contact lens fitting and dispensing. With her vast knowledge and experience of fitting a wide variety of contacts, she is often able to fit the previous “contact lens dropout”.
Some of the soft contact lenses available, in our office, are mainstream disposables, custom lenses, multi-focal lenses, and the newer hybrid lenses which are rigid in the center and soft on the edges. We also fit a variety of gas permeable (rigid) lenses including bifocal lenses, bitoric and front toric lenses, keratoconus designs, and lenses for post refractive surgery.
With our state of the art technology, we are able to fit many patients who have been told they can not wear contacts. Patients with corneal diseases or who have had less than perfect results from refractive surgery are often good candidates for custom contact lenses.
In addition to the fitting and dispensing of contacts, at the Denver Eye Clinic, we are able to follow our patients with medical eye conditions such as dry eyes or keratitis. We can monitor and treat these often contact lens related issues.
